South Bay Pride was a great day!

The cool breeze all day made it a perfect day for Memorial Park. Around 1200 people attended South Bay Pride 2010 on Saturday, visiting the exhibitors' booths, eating the great food, checking out the wine/beer garden overlooking the stage and bringing their children to enjoy the bouncy and games at the Children's garden.

Between our great line up of entertainment, we gave away great raffle prizes. Sister Ida and her compatriots from the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgences sold our raffle tickets and added their wonderful presence to our event. The grand prize was an overnight stay at Park Manor Hotel in downtown Hillcrest, dinner for two at the Cosmopolitan in Old Town and Diversionary tickets to round off a great get away weekend.

Check out the pictures that Photo by Elsa has posted!

Let us know how what you thought of the event by taking our post South Bay Pride survey.

We thank all of you who have so wonderfully supported this event and hope to see you next year!

Check back for our next Happy Hour Celebration!

South Bay Alliance is building community among LGBT & friends in the South San Diego County.  Let's meet everyone and socialize here in the South Bay, connect to LGBT friendly businesses, and political awareness on LGBT issues.

Besides organizing social events, South Bay Alliance also provides you with a centralized source of on-line LGBT information. Our "Be Heard" page gives you a listing of both local and national political resources while our "Resource" page provides local and national listing of LGBT organizations. The "Drug Facts" and "Health Info" give you infromation and resources to address issues affecting the community. In addition, our email list provides you with with our newsletters & updates that keep you in touch with the current local area political issues and event updates.

Using the 2005 American Community Survey for the San Diego metropolitan area, the South Bay area has at least 17,000 LGBT residents! South Bay Alliance is building a listing of businesses and organizations that are LGBT friendly and support building community in the South Bay. Businesses can let our community know they welcome our patronage while we can visit the "Business Listings" and let them know you appreciate their support.
